Addax Petroleum Development (Nig) Limited invites qualified candidates for its 2009/2010 National Tertiary Institutions Scholarship Awards Scheme in Nigeria.
GENERAL ELIGIBILITY
All Candidates must:
* be a Nigerian
* be a registered, full time 100 level undergraduate in any Nigerian Tertiary Institution
* have 5 ‘0′ level credit passes in one sitting including English Language and Mathematics.
NOTE:
Any candidate currently a beneficiary of a scholarship of any kind is not eligible to apply
Dependants of employees of Addax Petroleum are not eligible to apply.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
To qualify for consideration, applicants MUST submit an application with ALL the following information.
A. Surname
B. Other Names
C. Sex
D. Functional Email address and phone number
And attach scanned copies of the original:
* Admission letter into institution with information on course of study, year of entry and duration.
* SSCE/GCE O’level certificate
* Evidence of state of origin/local government
* School ID card or National ID or Driver’s license or international passport.
APTITUDE TEST
An aptitude test for all applicants will be conducted at the following centres on a later date that shall be communicated to successful applicants through their email addresses.
Applicants should therefore indicate their preferred centre for the test on their applications:

2009/ 2010 Shell University Scholarship Award
Here is a good opportunity to all those brilliant, but indigent, students out there, coming from Shell. So if you think you need it why not give it a try? Good luck.

The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (Operator of the NNPC/SHELL /TEPN/AGIP Joint Venture) Scholarship Scheme offers first year students in all Nigerian universities the opportunity to study with an annual grant from Shell Nigeria for the full duration of their course. The programme aims to promote academic excellence and improve the skills-base among young Nigerians.
WHO CAN APPLY?
The Scholarship is in two categories – the National Merit Award (NM) and the Areas of Operation Merit Award, East or West (OE or OW).
1. National Merit Award (NM)
The National Merit Award (NM) University Scholarship is open to all Nigerian first year full-time degree students in Nigerian universities who are NOT indigenes of Shell’s operational areas - Abia, Akwa Ibom, Imo, Rivers and Bayelsa (indigenes of Ekeremor and Sagbama Local Government Areas), Delta and Edo States. Apply in writing using the application format below only and send in an envelope clearly marked 2009/2010 NM Award.
2a. Areas of Operation Merit Award, East (OE)
The Areas of Operation Merit Award, East (OE) University Scholarship is open to first year full-time degree students in Nigerian universities who are indigenes of Shell’s operational areas in Abia, Akwa Ibom, Imo, Rivers and Bayelsa States (excluding indigenes of Ekeremor and Sagbama Local Government Areas). Apply in writing using the format below only and send in an envelope clearly marked 2009/2010 OE Award
2b. Areas of Operation Merit Award, West (OW)
The Areas of Operation Merit Award, West (OW) University Scholarship is open to first year full-time degree students in Nigerian universities who are indigenes of Shell’s operational areas in Bayelsa (i.e. indigenes of Ekeremor and Sagbama Local Government Areas), Delta and Edo States. Apply in writing using the format below only and send in an envelope clearly marked 2009/2010 OW Award.
