GlobalDosh Fantasy League: What A Fantasy!

This is a warning to anyone who may be unfortunate to have come across the GlobalDosh Fantasy League competition, and probably contemplating joining the league with the intention of winning the feigned goodies. Beware!

I'm pointing this out because I've been there and experienced everything first hand. The entry fee is on the high side, but I was induced by some GD points which I was able to get in another bogus giveaway organised by them. For the January edition, my third attempt, which I could have won comfortably, the team ahead of me (Ikeja Rovers2) was awarded 62 controversial points which I pointed out to them. The points made the team to be 1 point ahead of my team. Below is a sample for Clichy, one of the player in team(Ikeja Rovers2):

Sorry for the poor quality, I was trying to minize the screenshot in Photo paint. Clichy was credited 2 goals in the Arsenal - Bolton match (indicated by the "G" sign. And another 2 in the Aston Villa - Arsenal match which ended goalless, see the real report here: http://www.arsenal.com/match-menu/3150808/first-team/aston-villa-v-arsenal

The decision they came up with was that the January edition has been cancelled and that my entry money for that month would be refunded instead of declaring me the winner. The reason for this was that they claimed some volunteer managers assigned to input the scores was responsible. How illogical does that sound? How could you put a competitor in charge of scoring his fellow competitors. What absurdity!

If you ask me, I'd say the scoring was fixed by them. I mean with an etry fee of 30 Pounds Sterling, how many people would want to enter? So, not wanting to incur a loss, they had to lie.

If I had seen any post similar to this before I joined the fantasy football league by Globaldosh, I would have thought twice before putting close to N20,000 in it. So, I'm warning everyone to beware of those folks. There are only two options with them, you either lose or get a refund instead of winnings.

  1. Oh boy U1,
I am unsure about what your beef is all about. Some of us have been playing the globaldosh fantasy football league for some time. I have won the MoM championship on two occasions and I have two friends who have won, at least, on one occasion each.
If other people are better fantasy managers than you, just hold your hands up and bite the dust.
I have been wondering why they have suspended the fantasy league because they only said some individual were taking it as their core business instead of a value-added service that they provide for globaldoshers. I now think you and your like are the reason for the suspension. I wonder why there are always people like you spoiling the fun for people like me and my friends.
Why do you have to use a nickname called "U1" anyway, if you are sure of your facts.
I am fed up with people like you using the web to vent your anger about your real life situation.
Dear U1, please get a life. AND GLOBALDOSH, pls,pls,pls,pls...... bring the fantasy football back MoM and all.
    Sincerely,

    Adeola S.

  2. Ha! Ha! Ha! Now I get the scenario playing out! Adeola again!(goodness knows if that is even a real person in the first place). But wait a minute, I'm not going to bring myself to such a sorry state of decorum to which you have brought yourself.
You wrote that you "have won the MoM championship on two occasions and I have two friends who have won, at least, on one occasion each." And apparently, the month for which I complained about (January) in which your team "Ikeja Rovers2" came first, thanks to the 62 dubious points which you and your cohorts added to your team's score is just a continuation from where you stopped, at least from what I was told that some fellow managers updating scores have been doctoring it (which I even doubt in the first place). Why? If among you and your friends you have won four times that shows you people have been taken it as your core business, that means you people had won all the previous 4 months (September-December 2009). Sorry, I didn't intend spoiling fun for you dubious lot, it was just because of what I lost to the similarly dubious GlobalDosh people.
By the way, it's a waste of time worrying about people like you. At least I showed a sample screenshot to prove my case (and I still have some more), but if you cannot reason starting from there (I'm sure you can't), then you need to run and get a life before your life passes you by.

PS: On the issue of using nickname, just so you know the name is Victor. I'm not afraid of anyone one because what GlobalDosh did was a breech of trust. How can you organised a competition and put a participant in that same competition to be in charge of scoring without even disclosing that to the other participants beforehand? I rest my case.
